* MIN5106 Christian and Social Justice
This Track provides a foundation of theological reflection, spiritual formation and practical approaches for reaching out to those in need, whispering words of life to the unreached, and being formed spiritually by imitating Christ who loved those normally overlooked.
OBJECTIVES: The student will be able to: articulate a biblical foundation for reaching out to those rendered voiceless by our culture; grasp how life with God (spirituality), ministering to those in need (communion, compassion), and bearing witness to the gospel (evangelism) fit together; grasp that reaching out to the voiceless may be counter-cultural but is natural and organic to the Christian faith; identify core strategies and necessary attitudes in ministering to the voiceless; formulate a plan for rendering personal or corporate service to one or more voiceless persons.
